Socialburn was started in Florida in the middle 90's by singer and guitarist Neil Alday, drummer Brandon Bittner, and bassist Dusty Price. They recruited guitarist Chris Cobb, and produced a couple of self-released albums. In 2002 the band signed its first contract with the Elektra label, which released its full-length album entitled Where You Are in 2003.
