The French band Sotos appeard in in Bordeaux in 1996. Yan Hazera (guitar), Nadia Leclerc (cello), Bruno Camide (bass), Michael Hazera (drums), and Nicolas Cazaux (violin) started the group. In 1998 the Musea label released their debut self-titled album. The Platypus LP followed four years later.
