Joe Nixon (drums) and Jackson Mould (guitar) started slick Shoes in 1994 in Orange County, CA. Ryan Kepke (vocals) and Jeremiah Brown (bass) joined them later. The Rusty LP appeared in 1997. In 1998 Slick Shoes recruited Greg Togawa (guitar) to record the Burn Out album. Wake Up Screaming appeared in 2000, and the Slick Shoes LP followed in 2002. After that Slick Shoes released Far from Nowhere and The Biggest and Best.
