The group Coprofago was formed in Santiago, Chile, in 1993. The members of it are: vocalists/guitarists Pablo Alvarez and Sebastian Vergara, bassist Felipe Castro and drummer Marcelo Ruiz. Together they recorded their five-track demo while still in their teens and then introduced the world to their highly technical death-jazz metal style (influenced by Atheist, Cynic, etc.) via 1997's Images of Despair album.
