The Flaming Lips can claim influence over the indie rock scene across the ocean in the UK after they learn that The Futureheads named their band after the name of one of the American band's albums, Hit to Death in the Future Head. Yet the musical influences on The Futureheads and their style are not the space-rock of the American band as much as it is the lively and witty style of the Jam and Queen.
