About Sublime
The ska-punk group Sublime formed in the late 80s and toured the Southern California region and later other parts of the US for years until finally receiving attention for their song Date Rape. When What I Got was released in anticipation of their self-titled third album due in 1996, Sublime was already playing on radio stations and was well on its way to multi-platinum success.
