About Stan Getz
In 1951, Stan Getz and Jimmy Raney (guitar) funded their own band. In the late 50's Getz went on the music tour in Europe, after which he issued his solo album entitled Focus. In 1962, he recorded the hit single, "Desafinado," with Charlie Byrd and Jazz Samba. Besides, in the early 60's he worked with Laurindo Almeida, Antonio Carlos Jobim, Luiz Bonfa, and Joao Gilberto.
