The first punk rock group the Ramones formed in 1974 and stayed together, recording vital punk rock music, until they disbanded in 1996. As if their lives were tied to the music and the life on the road, three Ramones band members - Joey Ramone, Johnny Ramone and Dee Dee Ramone – all died within eight years of the breakup.
