Formed in 1980 as a four person group, then losing drummer Bill Berry following a brain aneurysm event on stage, and remaining a trio, REM have released 13 full length studio albums, paving their road into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, being inducted in 2007. REM continues releasing critically acclaimed albums, though not as revolutionary anymore as their earlier material from 1988-1992 was.
