About Phil Collins
After Peter Gabriel left Genesis and Phil Collins joined the band, the result was a gradual simplifying of Genesis' sound and an increasing focus on his' expressive, throaty voice. In conjuction with his Genesis work, Phil Collins released a solo album in 1981, which turned out to be a bigger hit than any Genesis album.
