Pearl Jam have been a serious band with a serious cause. They have always raised the flag and taken a political stand on matters of voting awareness, pro choice and even a fight against the high commission charged by Ticketmaster for their shows. When performing live on MTV's Unplugged, Pearl Jam rocked to Black, the ballad off their debut album, lead singer Eddie Vedder took a waterproof marker and wrote the words Pro Choice on his skin.
