About Nirvana
Nirvana did not last long as a band, with their breakthrough coming in 1991 (the album Nevermind), their high point in 1993 (MTV Unplugged performance) and the band's frontman Kurt Cobain committing suicide in 1994. Nirvana was, however, and remains the most important band to appear on the rock scene in the US in ages, with rock bands and free spirits inspired by their music.
