About Moby Grape
All five Moby Grape members contributed to song writing. This resulted in a complex and eclectic sound, a fusion of jazz, country, blues and rock elements. To some, the debut album by Moby Grape, self titled, from 1967, is of the best rock albums to emerge from the Bay Area in the hippie sixties, a time that saw the Mamas and the Papas, the Grateful Dead and other great bands emerge from the area.
