How Will the Wolf Survive? Asked Los Lobos (The Wolves, in Spanish) in 1984. It was the rock band's first major label album release, and was well received, granting the band a place on the Rolling stones magazine list of best albums of the 80s. but it wasn't until 1987, with the release of La Bamba, that Los Lobos would enjoy true commercial success, with the song peaking at #1, something few non-English songs have ever done.
