About John Prine
Beginning his musical career in Chicago, after learning to play the guitar, with his grandfather as inspiration (his grandfather played with Merle Travis), John Prine received critical acclaim and has drawn a considerable following already with the release of his debut album, John Prine, in 1971. The album contained some of the classic, most loved John Prine songs, Illegal Smile, Sam Stone and Paradise, a repertoire that would be added to with later albums throughout the years since.
