About John Prine
Since his successful debut album in 1971, John Prine has seen great critical acclaim, a consistent fan base and some commercial success. In the late 90s, however, John Prine was diagnosed and treated for throat cancer, which not only changed his voice but also marked the beginning of several noteworthy awards given to him, including the most recent Artist of the Year award in 2005.
