About Fountains Of Wayne
Fountains of Wayne released their debut album in 1996, saw two singles off it reach the airwaves and joined tours of The Smashing Pumpkins and The Lemonheads, but managed to sell only 125,000 copies of the album. The next album, Utopia Blvd. was released in 1999, but weak sales led to Fountains of Wayne being cut from their record label Atlantic. The band went on hiatus for a couple of years, before recording again, this time with Virgin Records.
