Cat Stevens was given another name when born, Steven Demetre Georgiou, and is now known by a wholly different name, Yusuf Islam. Only between 1966 and 1978, his most creative years as a singer-songwriter that he went by Cat Stevens. The songs written and recorded by the musician would nevertheless never be erased or effaced in any way no matter what name changes or religious conversion controversies take place.
