About Captain Jack
Franky Gee was the staple, the person most identified with Captain Jack over the years. While the female vocalist role changed hands – from Liza Da Costa on the 1995 debut, through Maria Lucia 'Maloy' Lozanes in 1999 and eventually Illi Love in 2001 – it was Franky Gee, in his stylized military general's uniform assuming the persona of Captain Jack. His surprise death in 2005 ended this chapter in the band's legacy.
