About Billy Idol
Early in his life, before setting off with his solo punk rock music career, Billy Idol had played guitar with the English band Siouxsie & the Banshees, although before it released any recordings under this name. After switching from band to band, Billy Idol finally settled behind the microphone, at the front of the stage, and left the guitar playing to others. Thumping his fist in the air and rocking his leg aggressively, sexually, Billy Idol would become one of MTV's favorite sons in the 80s.
