It is an oddity of their career that the Backstreet Boys, while becoming a household word in most of the world, they were virtually unknown in the United States, their homeland. Perhaps this was due to the fact that their albums were released first in Europe, and only later, in 1997, in the United States. In any case, one the album, was out, the Backstreet Boys took America by storm as they had the rest of the world.
