Headbanging and fast guitar playing, along with shrieking vocals are the basis for thrash metal music. These elements were brought to perfection by Accept, the German band that operated from the 70s and conquered Europe in the 80s. Throughout their years of recording, Accept would sway from sexually explicit lyrics (Balls to The Wall in 1983) to more commercial ad classical heavy metal topics (Metal Heart in 1985), taking Europe by a storm and trying to lure the American market as well, which they managed to some extent.
